brainAs a Neuropsychologist, Dr. Lanni is an expert in evaluating how neurologic and psychological conditions can affect thinking, behavior, emotions, and social relationships across the lifespan. Neuropsychological evaluations utilize objective, psychodiagnostic measures of brain function while also integrating detailed information from a person’s medical and social history to assess factors that may be contributing to cognitive difficulties. Test results, as well as information gathered from interviewing the client about any difficulties he or she encounters in the context of daily life, are used to assess how each individual’s cognitive strengths and areas of weakness may be interfering with optimal functioning. Neuropsychological testing can also be used to assist with differential diagnosis of cognitive disorders and dementia syndromes. Dr. Lanni is skilled in tailoring treatment recommendations to the needs of each client, depending on the nature of the evaluation.
